Otmámíb Belf
Otmámíb Belf ("Fall Down") is a song by Kulpan pop-rock band Modaśobɉonit, featuring guest vocals by Álmo Qúsicmól, released on 13 August 2021 on Tobeśelnís Records as the third single from the album Nonsota. Written by lead vocalist Ghaníl Álnóshe and guitarist Olim Cístól, the song entered the KP Singles Chart at number one on the chart dated 21 August, and held the top spot for eight weeks, the longest run to date atop the chart.
Background
The song was written by Modaśobɉonit's Ghaníl Álnóshe and Olim Cístól. Álnóshe stated in an interview on Rádiojóśob that the song was the first to be written for the album. She said that the inspiration for the lyrics came to her during a train journey. Cistól stated in the same interview that parts of the music were reworked from a track which was written for the band's previous album Núsí Dcísó but never recorded.
Critical reception
The song was met with positive reviews from critics. Writing for Nís Núsota, Minsa Ilmis praised the interplay of the two vocalists and how the song builds to a "soaring finale".
Music video
A music video was released along with the song on 13 August 2021. The video features footage of the band performing the song in a darkened room surrounded by lanterns, interspersed with shots of Álnós and Qúsicmól singing on a train on the Lowtah metro system.
